About Matthew
I love to teach science. Over the years I've taught physics and math-based topics anywhere from 7th grade to college level, and I've designed several experiments to reinforce topics through hands-on learning. My specialty is in how air and water behave, how heat moves, and how we make things fly. My goal is to inspire people to appreciate the natural sciences as much as it is to get you to complete your homework, and I make sure I accomplish both.

Science and math define the world, and I love taking real-life examples and breaking them down into fundamental concepts. In the words of Carl Sagan, "it's all really there" and I know how to explain most natural phenomena in terms of the basic math and science you learn from Day 1. From there, based on your interest, we can dive deeper into topics to learn how the world works. This can be done at any level of math or physics, from middle school to college.

1-hour sessions do not allow for a significant amount of material to be covered, so I encourage planning for at least 90min, if not more. I usually allow 2-3hours for sessions when scheduling in case the student wants to continue longer.
