About Levi
Hi! I recently earned an M.Sc in medical physics from UBC. I specialized in radiation oncology physics and did my thesis research at a cancer centre.
I have been heavily involved in teaching for over five years. During my undergrad in physics at Queen's, I was a TA for several math courses (calculus and linear algebra) and an advanced mathematical physics course. At UBC, I was a Head TA and was responsible for over 700 students in a two-year period. Most of these students were first-year undergraduate students (intro physics, electricity and magnetism, mechanics) and I also TA'd a master's course in radiation therapy.
At Queen's I was enrolled in the Concurrent Education program where I was a student teacher and took a few courses in pedagogy. This was focused on high school teaching. At UBC I took a pedagogy course for STEM education at the university level and got plenty of practice. I have also been a private tutor, ranging from middle school math to first-year courses to MCAT preparation.

In one-on-one teaching, I aim to get you doing as much work as possible - I want to see how you approach problems, to see exactly where you have progressed so far in the course and how I can best help you advance.
I don't want to do anything that you can get on Khan Academy for free! I am personable and patient and hope that you will feel comfortable asking me any question about your course material.

I may charge a higher rate for a course where I need to do more prep (e.g. advanced differential equations, advanced electromagnetic theory, special relativity and quantum mechanics)
Cancellations with less than 12 hours notice will still be charged at 50% of the rate of pay.
