About Jade
I never chose photography as a career, it seemed to choose me.
I started out working in a film developing lab whilst in high school during the holidays, and went on to work there full time after graduating. I quickly got promoted to manager due to my uncanny ability to sell camera's and within a year, became senior manager.
I never dreamed that photography would become my career, I just thought I was a great sales person.
I went on to become a sales rep for one of the suppliers which I did for a while, but then got offered a job with a pack-shot company as a photoshop operator in 1998. I very quickly became proficient with PS and went on to become a retoucher for a professional studio in 2000 and over the next 5yrs honed not only my PS ability, but became very knowledgeable about photography and the business thereof.
In 2006 I started my own business and have been enjoying success ever since as both a photographer and high-end retoucher.
The time has come to impart what I have learned onto others which I began doing last year via YouTube and would like to expand my offering. I look forward to going with you on an incredible journey of endless possibility.
