About Krishnadev

I'm a critically acclaimed short filmmaker and a photography enthusiast. I have worked in the film industry as Assistant and Associate Director in short films, feature films, and ad films across the last 7 years. I'm also an experienced teacher of cinema with 4 years behind me. - Faculty in Filmmaking at CMR University, Bangalore, teaching Film Aesthetics and Scripting to graduation level students. I am friendly and interactive with my students since it helps in developing a great relationship with them. My focus is on making them have a tight grip over the fundamentals and basics of Cinematic writing. My students have made short films, some of which have earned accolades at film festivals at National Level festivals. (2018-2020) - Faculty at AMD Academy of Media and Design, teaching basics of Photography and Video Production (2020-2021) - I have a few workshops and events under my belt at Bangalore and Kerala at a few institutions.

About the lesson

I approach photography with an intention to express with images. Telling stories, exploring places, people and lives is something photography teaches you to freeze upon. As much as I'd love to give lectures, making students do their works hand on is something that I believe in strongly and that is the way film making has to be approached

Perfect! I booked a half day session with Dev at the start of a 6 week trip around India after finding his profile on Superprof.
We covered the basics of digital photography (exposure triangle, focus, framing etc) to start with and then his hands on approach of walking around Kochi, photographing people, places, objects really helped bring the theory to life and I was able to put this to use throughout the rest of my trip.

If you're looking to get into digital photography, I would definitely recommend working with Dev.

Dev's classes were tailor-made to the needs I had with regard to approaching script writing. He interacts with examples and scenarios that one would relate to with respect to one's knowledge and background. This made relating with the concepts simpler and the interaction more engaging. I could not have more than 15 classes due to pausity of time but i am looking forward to continuing our sessions in another three months.
