I have recently graduated from university with a degree in philosophy. During my A Level studies I had an online philosophy tutor who inspired me to go on and study a university level. From this I know the value and difference a good online tutor can make.

I will first have a chat with the student about where they feel they are at already and what areas they are having difficulty with.
A lot of philosophy is careful reading and getting a good grasp on difficult concepts. During my lessons we will work through texts and go over key concepts, ensuring the student understands a particular point before we move on.
I will also focus on the student's writing skills. Doing well in philosophy exams is not about big words and impressive writing rather clear, simple explanation and argumentation. I will work with the student on these areas in my lessons.
