Hello! I’m a Philosophy and Religion graduate with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. I offer thoughtful, engaging, and exam-focused tutoring in Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Ethics at both GCSE and A-Level. About the lesson

As a Philosophy and Religion graduate, my approach to tutoring is centred around clarity, critical thinking, and confidence-building. I help students not only understand complex topics in philosophy, ethics, and religion, but also learn how to formulate strong arguments, write effective essays, and engage with abstract ideas in a grounded way. Teaching Style & Methodology: My sessions are interactive and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I break down difficult concepts into clear, relatable examples, and use structured questioning to guide students towards deeper understanding. I also focus heavily on exam technique, helping students understand what examiners are really looking for. Furthermore, I emphasise the importance of understanding your feedback. As such I help students understand mark schemes and what their feedback means, to help them improve their mistakes. For essay-based subjects, I emphasise: Argument structure and clarity Critical engagement with opposing viewpoints Building confidence in written expression ️ Lesson Format: Lessons are typically 60 minutes, though I can offer shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s needs and attention span. Qualifications & Experience: BA in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics from the University of Nottingham. Experience supporting GCSE and A-Level students in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Ethics and Essay Writing. Strong academic writing background, with additional experience in communication and logic-based disciplines. Who I Teach: I work with GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, including: Students preparing for exams (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, etc.). Those struggling with essay structure or confidence. High-achievers looking to push for top grades or prepare for university study. Those applying to university needing guidance on their personal statement. Whether you're aiming for a grade boost or simply want to develop your thinking and writing skills, I provide a calm, encouraging environment where students feel supported to learn and grow.
