About Anaïs Rebecca

I am currently finishing my 2-year research masters degree in Philosophy at UCL, having achieved first class honours at undergraduate level at the same university. I have special interest in philosophy of science and metaphysics, but also an especially strong background in philosophical logic, as well as being able to advise and discuss on epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, some history or philosophy, and some ancient philosophy. I also completed A Level courses in Mathematics, Physics, Philosophy and Ethics, and Classical Civilisations.

About the lesson

I am looking to teach predominantly undergraduates in Philosophy, as well as those whose degree involves a philosophical component (e.g. PPE, Philosophy and Art History, etc.). The teaching would be entirely focussed around your needs and goals, which we would discuss together. Whether you want to improve your essay writing, sharpen your logic skills, or just discuss ideas, I'll help you to achieve your goals at a pace that works for you.
For example, I might go through formal logic papers with you, or critique some of your essay work. However, this is not an essay writing service — I will advise on essays and give recommendations related to your work, but I will not write anything for you! I want to be able to teach you how to become a great philosopher, and write great essays for yourself!
I'm also open to teaching and working with A Level students who are taking a Philosophy or Philosophy and Ethics A Level, or are interested in studying Philosophy at University. I've done outreach work (a summer school for A level students) with UCL before, and I should be able to give you advice and answer any questions that you might have regarding studying philosophy!
