About Tristan
I'm Tristan, hi! I began learning about philosophy as a 16 year old in school, and immediately fell in love with the subject. Philosophy isn't like other subjects that simply teach you things, it changes the way you think. Thinking about philosophical issues can have a direct influence on your life, decision making, and outlook. This led to me continuing studying the subject at the University of Edinburgh where I earned a First Class MA with Honours, before earning a Distinction in my Masters degree at the University of Glasgow. Now I hope to get talking with fellow philosophers who I might be able to help with their own studies!

Since Socrates there has always been an emphasis on debate in the practice of philosophy. In this spirit, my lessons focus on conversation to talk through problems that may be tricky to get your head around, develop your own thoughts and arguments, and really get to grips with the rigorous analysis that has defined philosophy in the West.
Having said this, I appreciate we all learn in different ways. As such, I'll provide visual cues, worksheets, and useful videos to make sure you're learning in the best way for you.
