About Dawson
Hello! I am a university philosophy major, with a minor in political science and sociology. I tutor in english, philosophy, writing-skills, political science, sociology, history, and classics. I always make sure both my students and I come to sessions prepared, and that I keep things organized to maximize the productivity of sessions, and to keep my students on-schedule and organized with their work. I'm usually available for last-minute sessions, and I always come to sessions prepared with the material that we'll cover.

I tutor in a very comprehensive and organized way, I understand (from my years in university) how important organization is to tutoring. It's important, in all subject areas, for the tutoring to be tailored to every particular student of mine.
It's important (especially for those students in higher education) to develop a clear and realistic schedule for assignments/work, so that every particular goal is met with enough time. This is something that my students have all benefited from, I do my best to stay pragmatic with my expectations, and with theirs.
Depending on the topic and context of the tutoring, sessions may be different. In the case of preparing for an assignment, we will go over the instructions and organize the relevant material, and set out a realistic schedule for completion. In the case of understanding concepts, or going over materials from classes, we will set out an organized outline and structure the concepts not only for them to be clear in-session, but of useful reference afterwards.
I can (and already do) tutor university-level philosophy, political-science, english, sociology, history and writing-skills.
I am available at various times throughout the week, always available on the weekends (even, in most cases, for last-minute sessions). I make time for my students, and I always help to keep them and our sessions organized. In most cases, I make sure that my students and I are always coming to sessions prepared.
