About Sarah
I'm a Philosophy graduate with a genuine enthusiasm for the big questions, the kind that don't have easy answers but are all the more rewarding for it. From ethics and metaphysics to the philosophy of religion, I've always been drawn to ideas that challenge how we think about ourselves and the world around us.
At university, I was actively involved in peer study groups and mentoring, which is where I discovered I genuinely enjoy helping others break down complex ideas and make them click. I'm friendly and approachable by nature, and I believe that no question is too basic, in Philosophy especially, the most fundamental questions are often the most interesting ones.
I offer online tutoring in Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Humanities for GCSE and A-Level students, tailored to each student's needs, whether that's building essay technique, working through key thinkers, or preparing for exams. I offer a free first lesson so we can see if we're a good fit before committing.

My lessons are built around the student, not a rigid script. Philosophy teaches you that the best thinking happens through dialogue, so whether we're unpacking an ethical argument, analysing a religious text, or working through a humanities essay, I aim to make every session feel like a genuine conversation rather than a lecture.
Each lesson is tailored to what the student needs most at that moment. Some sessions will be discussion-based, exploring ideas and building critical thinking skills; others will be more structured, working through essay technique, key thinkers, or exam preparation. I let the student's goals, confidence level, and upcoming deadlines shape the focus.
Lesson length is flexible, I'm happy to work with whatever suits the student's schedule and attention span, whether that's a focused 45-minute session or a longer 90-minute deep dive.
My tutoring is aimed at GCSE and A-Level students studying Philosophy, Religious Studies, or Humanities. These are subjects that reward curiosity and clear thinking, and I'm particularly well-suited to students who want to genuinely understand the material, not just memorise it for an exam.
