About Dishani

I graduated with First Class First in Philosophy from Presidency University, Kolkata, followed by a postgraduate degree in Philosophy from Jadavpur University.
As an active learner of philosophy, I am committed to helping you explore the subject with clarity, curiosity, and an engaging perspective.

About the lesson

For academic learners:
For school and college students, my classes focus on building a strong conceptual foundation in philosophy. I emphasize clarity of ideas, logical structure, and critical thinking to help students engage with the subject meaningfully, whether for coursework, exams, or deeper academic understanding. Along with explaining key theories and texts, I guide students in learning how to frame valid and thoughtful questions, which is essential for developing precision, analytical skills, and confidence in philosophical discussion.

For learners driven by personal interest:
For those who wish to explore philosophy out of genuine curiosity, my approach is more reflective and discussion-oriented. I present philosophical ideas in an accessible and engaging way, encouraging open dialogue and independent thinking. These sessions are designed to help learners connect philosophical concepts with everyday experiences, cultivate curiosity, and develop a habit of thoughtful questioning, making philosophy a meaningful and enriching part of their intellectual journey.

Firstly, she tries to build a very good understanding of whatever topic she chooses and tries to explain from the perspective of a layman.

Secondly, Her explanation of any topic is very very intense and she tries to go to the thick of any topic.

Thirdly, Due to a very good academic background, she knows where people can face difficulties in understanding, she tries to cover up those parts very nicely..

I strongly recommend her as a teacher / guide..
