About Tabitha
My name is Tabitha and I am a third year Philosophy and Theological Studies student at the University of St Andrews. I grew up in London and outside my studies I am a nationally recognised public speaker and British Parliamentary style debater.
Although receiving top marks in my exams, I struggled immensely with confidence and technique which was almost debilitating. I worked tirelessly to develop strategies to manage this and I would now like to pass them down as I believe that anyone is capable if they just believe in themselves.

My teaching style is oriented around discussion and conversation to ensure comfortability and confidence within my students. I believe that clarity and articulation is paramount to success and if a student is able to talk about the content they are able to successfully write about it to a similar level. Through these conversations I also aim to increase their comprehension of the content and also general vocabulary.
I also offer tailored support and help with essay structure, technique and time management.
I have been a volunteer tutor for several years now tutoring Philosophy and Theology/Religious Studies. After achieving 10A*s at GCSE and 4A*s at A level I am incredibly well-versed in the English Exam system.
My lessons are for any student who would need help in these topics, but are best suited towards GCSE and first year A level students (ages 13-16).
