My teaching is tailored to your needs and learning preferences. There are two main types of lesson:
One is subject focused tutorials. For example, if you struggle to understand a scientific concept, I will plan a tutorial around that subject to help you make sense of it. If desired, this kind of lesson can be supplemented with homework that tests your understanding of the subject. Such as a short essay, which I can then give feedback on to help improve your scientific writing.
The second is coursework tutorials. These tutorials centre on coursework you have been set, and focus on improving your planning, drafting and writing process. Coursework tutorials are a great way to get guidance on your work early on, and feedback on your work prior to submission.
These lessons aim to improve both your subject understanding and scientific writing ability, and as a result improve your degree classification outcome!
Outside of your subject I can guide your application for placements, graduate jobs, or postgraduate study.
