About Gavin
I am a current PhD student in Cell/Molecular Biology with a strong background in both neurobiology and neuroethology. My research is centered on characterizing the photoperiodic plasticity of neuropeptides in the diapausing vector Culex pipiens, with the overarching goal of elucidating the molecular mechanisms that govern seasonal adaptations. Beyond my primary research endeavors, I have actively contributed to undergraduate mentorship, supervised laboratory experiments, and instructed introductory laboratory courses. I am driven by a strong interest in the translational applications of molecular entomology, neurobiology, and developmental genetics.
