About Raghad

I am going into my second year of PhD studies in Higher Education and Student Affairs, with a strong foundation in business and leadership through my MBA and Master's in Servant Leadership. As a native Arabic speaker who has been speaking English for most of my life, I have honed my professional English skills since 2018, when I moved to the US for graduate studies. My diverse academic background and extensive experience in both education and leadership allow me to provide a comprehensive and enriching tutoring experience for my students.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is centered around personalized, interactive, and student-focused teaching. I utilize a variety of methods to cater to different learning styles, including:

Interactive Lessons: I engage students through discussions, Q&A sessions, and real-life application exercises.
Multimedia Resources: I incorporate videos and visual aids to make lessons more engaging and to cater to different types of learners.
Progressive Learning: I structure lessons to build upon previous knowledge, ensuring a solid understanding of fundamental concepts before moving to advanced topics.
Feedback and Assessment: I provide regular feedback and conduct assessments to track progress and address areas needing improvement.

A Typical Lesson Plan:

Introduction (5 minutes): Brief overview of the day's topic and objectives.
Review (10 minutes): Recap of the previous lesson to reinforce learning and ensure retention.
Main Lesson (25 minutes): Introduction of new material using interactive methods and multimedia resources.
Practice (15 minutes): Hands-on activities, exercises, and real-life application scenarios.
Q&A and Discussion (10 minutes): Addressing student questions and encouraging discussion to deepen understanding.
Summary and Homework Assignment (5 minutes): Summarize key points and assign relevant practice work to reinforce learning.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:

Tailored Lessons: I customize my teaching methods to fit each student's unique learning style and pace.
Real-Life Application: I emphasize practical use of English, helping students apply their knowledge in everyday situations.
Engagement and Motivation: My lessons are designed to be engaging and enjoyable, fostering a love for learning and boosting student confidence.
Continuous Support: I offer ongoing support and resources outside of lessons to help students continue their learning journey.

My lessons are designed for:

Degree Levels: Undergraduate and graduate students.
Language Proficiency: All levels, from beginners to advanced learners.
Specific Needs: Individuals preparing for exams (TOEFL, IELTS), professionals seeking to improve business English, and anyone looking to enhance their conversational skills.
Class Types: One-on-one tutoring.
