About Jack
I am a PhD student at the University of Otago with previous tutoring experience in machine learning. Outside of research, I enjoy exploring ideas in mathematics, computer science, philosophy, and many other areas.
I see language learning as more than just studying vocabulary and grammar—it is also a way to exchange ideas and learn from one another. Through this tutoring project, I hope to meet curious people, have interesting conversations, and help learners become more confident in speaking Chinese.

Preferably undergraduate students or above.
People with broad interests in science, technology, philosophy, or related topics. Having shared intellectual interests usually leads to more engaging and meaningful conversations in Chinese.
