About Matthew
I am a fully qualified teacher, having taught science at Dixons Trinity Academy, who came 3rd in the country for progress, where I taught a wide variety of students of different ages. I have experience working with small groups and individuals which has given me the ability to tailor my teaching to every student's specific needs and learning styles. I am currently working on my PhD in Particle and nuclear Physics at the University of York, where I also completed my masters, I love to use this advanced knowledge to intrigue and excite students. Having tutored students from year 6 up to year 13 in Mathematics and Science, I have good experience adapting to a wide variety of student's needs and capabilities.

First I like to assess a student's current knowledge on a topic, often done through some tasks or questions. I like to highlight the key information from a topic and really make sure a student understands it instead of overloading them with information. Next I plan out the lessons depending on the student's targets and current knowledge so they can reach their potential and achieve their goals.
