About Adeel
I am a PhD-qualified Civil Engineering academic and currently work as an Assistant Professor. I have been continuously teaching at university level since August 2013, giving me over 12 years of experience in teaching and guiding Civil Engineering students. My main academic background is in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, but I also teach Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Mathematics.
Over the years, I have taught and tutored a wide range of subjects, including Structural Analysis, Structural Mechanics, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics and Engineering Math. I particularly enjoy helping students who feel overwhelmed by difficult topics, unclear lecture material, exam pressure or a lack of structured explanation.
My teaching approach is based on breaking complex Civil Engineering concepts into simple, manageable steps. I first make sure the student understands the basic concept, assumptions and physical meaning before moving into calculations and problem solving. Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because the subject has not been explained in a clear and structured way. My aim is to make the topic understandable, build confidence and help students solve exam-style problems independently.
I have experience supporting students with exams, resits, assignments, tutorials, past papers and difficult university modules. I try to provide patient, clear and practical guidance so that each lesson is directly useful for the student’s course and academic goals.

I provide clear, structured and exam-focused online tutoring for Civil Engineering students. Many of my students contact me when they are preparing for exams, resits, coursework, tutorials or past-paper practice, especially when they feel they need targeted support to pass or improve their grade.
My lessons are tailored to the student’s own course material. I usually work from lecture notes, tutorial sheets, past papers, assignment briefs and practice problems, so that each session is directly relevant to what the student needs to achieve. I explain concepts step by step, then apply them to exam-style problems, making sure the student understands the reasoning behind each calculation.
I am a PhD-qualified Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering and can teach Structural Analysis, Structural Mechanics, Reinforced Concrete Design, Steel Design, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Mathematics. My approach is especially helpful for university students who are struggling with difficult modules, preparing under time pressure, or repeating a subject and wanting to build confidence.
Online lessons are conducted using a digital writing pad, with clear diagrams, worked examples and step-by-step explanations. My goal is to help students understand the method, avoid common mistakes and become confident in solving similar problems independently.
