About Peter
I recently returned to England from South Africa where I was Head of Teacher Training and Development, teaching A 'Levels in History and Literature. I am now a lecturer at Petroc Higher Education college in Devon teaching Literature and English Language at A' Level and Access Diploma. I am a vocational teacher with a love for Literature and History and for teaching. I began teaching way back in 1984 at a new rural government school in Zimbabwe where I fell in love with teaching and returned to take my PGCE at Westminster, Oxford before being employed at The Sixth Form College, Farnborough to teach Literature and Head the new Media Studies department. Since then I have taught in Botswana, South Africa and on an American University campus in Nicaragua. As well as having plenty of experience at secondary and college level I have also taught Literature at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and university of Mobile, Alabama (Nicaraguan campus). I have often taught online - especiall over the last two years of lock down!
