About Dr Mridani
I'm Dr. Mridani, a political scientist with a PhD in Political Science and International Relations. My academic background spans years of research and coursework in global affairs, political theory, and comparative politics, and I've spent that time developing a genuine passion for helping others understand how the world actually works.
I approach teaching as a dialogue rather than a lecture. I believe understanding is built through genuine exchange, questioning, debating, and thinking out loud together rather than passive absorption of information. This makes my sessions collaborative and engaging rather than one-directional, and students often find that the ideas stick far better this way.
I'm also, by nature, warm, easygoing, and genuinely enjoy connecting with the people I teach. I bring energy and humor into my sessions wherever it fits, because I firmly believe that rigorous learning and an enjoyable, relatable atmosphere are not mutually exclusive, in fact, I think they reinforce each other.

As Dr. Mridani, I hold a PhD in Political Science and International Relations, and I teach students how to think critically about global affairs. My lessons are built around applying IR theory (realism, liberalism, constructivism) to real-world events, so students learn not just facts but how to analyze and argue like a political scientist.
A typical lesson starts with a short discussion of a current event or reading, moves into breaking down the relevant theoretical framework, and ends with guided practice, whether that's structuring an argument, refining a thesis, or improving a research paper's literature review. I adapt heavily depending on the student's goals.
What sets me apart is that I combine academic rigor with a research-driven, one-on-one mentoring style, having guided students through full thesis and research paper projects from argument development to final draft. My lessons are best suited for undergraduate and graduate students in political science, international relations, or related social sciences, as well as anyone preparing academic papers, theses, or coursework in these fields.
