About Tapas

Hello! My name is Tapas Mondal, and I hold a PhD in Physics with a specialisation in ultrafast optics and nonlinear spectroscopy. Over the past several years, I have been actively involved in advanced research and teaching, including international work at the Max Born Institute in Berlin, Germany. My passion for Physics goes beyond laboratories — I genuinely enjoy making this subject approachable and exciting for students. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge in a way that empowers others. I believe every student can succeed in Physics with the right guidance, clear explanations, and consistent encouragement. My goal is to simplify complex topics, strengthen your understanding, and help you feel confident — whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or university-level studies. About the lesson

My Teaching Method: I customise each lesson to suit the student’s level, pace, and preferred learning style. Whether it’s mastering classical mechanics, understanding wave optics, or exploring modern physics, I use clear explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving. Lessons are designed to encourage curiosity, strengthen core understanding, and improve exam performance. ️ Lesson Format: A typical session lasts 60 minutes, with flexibility for longer sessions if needed. Each lesson includes: A brief recap of prior knowledge Step-by-step teaching of new topics Interactive Q&A and real-time problem-solving Practice questions with exam tips Optional homework and feedback Qualifications: PhD in Physics, specialising in nonlinear optics and ultrafast laser spectroscopy International research experience through the Indo-German DAAD programme at the Max Born Institute (MBI), Berlin, Germany Hands-on expertise in Z-scan, pump–probe experiments, and optical material analysis 5+ years’ experience mentoring undergraduate students during PhD studies Who Can Benefit: GCSE and A-Level students seeking a clear, structured understanding of Physics concepts University (BSc) students who need support with core modules such as optics, electromagnetism, and quantum physics Students preparing for competitive or university entrance exams who need help with problem-solving and concept clarity Anyone passionate about Physics who wants to learn with a tutor who combines academic rigour with real-world insight My goal is to make Physics feel logical, relatable, and even enjoyable — helping students become confident, independent learners.
