About Renan
PhD in organic chemistry (University of Strathclyde, UK) and BSc in chemistry (UNICAMP, Brazil), with experience in higher education and research environments at both national and international levels.
I strive to relate the didactic contents of interest to my students' existing knowledge, always working with analogies and explanation from different viewpoints to facilitate the acquisition and retention of knowledge.
I have experience in higher education as didactic assistant to BSc students pursing a degree in chemistry, and as a tutor of chemistry, physics and mathematics to high school students.
I am interested in learning new concepts and teaching.

I prepare my classes to cater for the specific needs of each student. In this fashion, I offer both expository classes, in which a topic is discussed and revised; and interactive classes, in which students are constantly participating and exploring various topics.
I am used to working in dynamic and challenging environments, I actively work to consolidate new knowledge, review important concepts, and prepare for tests and exams.
