About Arjumand

Hello! I am a passionate educator with a PhD in European Studies and a Bachelor's degree in English. I believe education has the power to transform lives, which is why I enjoy helping students develop confidence and achieve their academic goals. I am committed to creating a positive, supportive, and engaging online learning environment where every student feels encouraged to ask questions and reach their full potential. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to inspire a genuine appreciation for the English language and lifelong learning.

About the lesson

I believe every student can succeed in English with the right guidance, encouragement, and a structured learning approach. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their language skills, and achieve their academic potential in a supportive online learning environment.

My teaching methodology is student-centred and tailored to each learner's individual needs, strengths, and learning style. I begin by assessing the student's current level and identifying areas for improvement. Lessons focus on developing grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative and analytical writing, spelling, punctuation, and speaking skills. For GCSE students, I also provide targeted exam preparation, including essay writing, text analysis, revision strategies, and practice with past papers to improve exam performance.

Each lesson is interactive, engaging, and well-structured, combining clear explanations with guided practice and constructive feedback. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop independent learning skills that will benefit them beyond the classroom.

A typical online lesson lasts 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged to meet individual learning goals.

I hold a PhD in European Studies and a Bachelor's degree in English, giving me a strong academic foundation and excellent command of the English language. My academic background has equipped me with advanced research, writing, communication, and analytical skills, which I bring into every lesson to help students achieve measurable progress.

My online English lessons are designed for GCSE students (Years 9–11), as well as learners who wish to improve their English language skills, academic writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and overall confidence. Whether a student needs support with schoolwork, exam preparation, or strengthening core English skills, I provide personalised lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and focused on achieving excellent results.
