About Faseel
Seven (07) years of consulting and construction experience.
Five (05) years of research experience. My Ph.D. research is on mine waste management through customized laboratory tests, numerical simulations and through coupling of the consolidation and desiccation behaviour.
I have been a teaching assistant for a number of courses at the University of Regina and in two subjects I had to present the presentations that I prepared. In the transportation systems class I prepared presentations and answered questions related to the assignments. For the engineering materials class, I prepared presentations on the laboratory methods for engineering materials that included soils, asphalt, concrete and steel. I then supervised the students while they performed the experiments. I also supervised the industrial trips with the students.
I have given two conference presentations. I have given numerous presentations related to my thesis to my geotechnical group at the University of Regina.

I want my students to think and ask questions on everything they learn from me and want
them not to believe blindly in whatever I teach them. They should be able to ask
questions on anything related to the subject. Only this way can a student check to see if
he or she understood the concept or not. I want to teach them not to be afraid of asking
questions and it would be my responsibility to identify students who do not ask questions
and see if they have understood the concept. I would be giving special attention to
marginalized and disadvantaged students because they deserve it. Today we know that
having good grades does not mean anything and it is the conceptual learning and critical
thinking that matters the most. This would be my utmost priority to teach and mentor for
student success in real life so that they achieve their goals.
