About Pooja

I enjoy teaching because I find it rewarding to see a student go from “I don't understand this” to solving a problem confidently on their own.

Throughout my academic and engineering journey, I have worked extensively with Mathematics and Physics, and I have learned that many difficult topics become much easier when they are explained clearly and approached step by step. I would like to share that understanding with students and help make these subjects less intimidating and more interesting.

I believe good tutoring is not just about helping students get better marks. It is about building confidence, curiosity, and the ability to think through a problem independently.

I want my students to leave each lesson feeling that they understand something better than they did before—and, hopefully, that Math and Physics are not as difficult as they first seemed.

About the lesson

I believe Maths and Physics become much easier when students understand the concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. My teaching approach is therefore focused on building strong fundamentals, explaining difficult concepts in simple language, and solving problems step by step.

I begin by understanding the student's current level, strengths, and areas where they are struggling. I then adapt the lessons accordingly. For Physics, I connect concepts with practical examples and real-world applications wherever possible. For Mathematics, I focus on developing problem-solving skills and helping students understand why a particular method works.

My typical lesson is 60 minutes, although the duration can be adjusted depending on the student's age, level, and requirements. A typical class includes concept explanation, worked examples, guided problem solving, and practice questions. I also encourage students to ask questions freely and work through problems themselves rather than simply watching me solve them.

I hold a PhD in Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, along with an M.Tech in RF & Microwave Engineering and a B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. My academic and engineering background has involved extensive use of Mathematics, Physics, electromagnetics, and problem-solving.

I offer online lessons for secondary-school and pre-university students, particularly those preparing for O-Level, A-Level, GCSE or similar curricula. I can teach students from different backgrounds and levels, from those who need help strengthening their fundamentals to students looking for more challenging problem-solving practice.

My goal is not only to help students improve their marks, but also to make them more confident and independent in Maths and Physics.
