About Agnes
Carboxylic acids, retrosynthesis, reaction mechanisms, amines, and curved-arrow notation form the foundation of my teaching. Synthesis pathways, functional groups, IUPAC nomenclature, and isomerism represent the core of my expertise. My final year of medical school at Princeton provides me with the advanced perspective required to explain these concepts clearly.
I possess 5 years of experience helping students navigate the most difficult aspects of chemistry. Pre-med students frequently struggle with these complex topics until we work through them together using structured approaches. ORGANIC CHEMISTRY mastery requires a shift in how you process molecular interactions and chemical logic. This transition is exactly what I guide my students through during our 9-month MCAT intensive program.

Students often hit a wall when attempting to connect synthesis pathways to reaction mechanisms because they lack a solid grasp of curved-arrow notation. Moving past this hurdle requires you to break down IUPAC nomenclature and functional group behavior into manageable, logical chunks that actually make sense.
My training as an MD/PhD candidate means I apply the same rigorous scientific standards to your progress that I use in my clinical rotations at Princeton. You will receive Custom reaction summary sheets to organize the synthesis pathways and isomerism rules we cover in our 10-minute focused segments. I find that my background allows me to pinpoint exactly where your conceptual understanding breaks down during our intensive sessions. It feels rewarding to see students finally gain confidence in their ability to draw out mechanisms correctly.
