About Michelle
Graph paper covered in charcoal dust reminds me of the exact moment a spatial concept clicks into place. As a PhD candidate, I bridge the gap between rigorous technical analysis and architectural drawing or model making.
I teach SketchUp, AutoCAD, and building materials through a lens of sustainable design. Concept development and spatial planning are constant threads in my work. Drafting a floor plan begins with a single, deliberate line that anchors the entire spatial narrative for the project. Working with 283 students over the years has shown me that sustainable design is best understood through the application of building materials and precise technical software. I integrate my mathematical background into architecture to ensure that every structural idea remains grounded in reality and logical execution.
Students learn to refine their portfolios by balancing the aesthetics of presentation boards with the strict requirements of AutoCAD and SketchUp. Developing these skills allows the student to prepare for a successful career in the field.
