About Sibongumusa
I am a dedicated and experienced PhD student in Physics, I love helping students understand subjects that seem difficult. I'm passionate about making complex topics simple and clear for everyone. I have a lot of experience as a tutor at the University of Pretoria. I've helped hundreds of first-year students in classes like PHY 131 (Classical Mechanics for Health students), PHY 124 (Electricity and Magnetism), and PHY 147 (Classical Mechanics for Scientists). I lead weekly tutorial sessions, tutorial tests and marking of the tests, so I know how to help students with their biggest challenges. My main way of teaching is to work on problems together. I believe that when we solve problems, you don't just memorize answers—you really learn the main ideas behind Physics and Mathematics. As a researcher working on very advanced topics, I've learned how to break down complicated ideas and explain them in a simple way so anyone can understand. I am committed to your success. My Tutoring Approach & Lessons:
I help students learn by working through problems together. I don't just tell you the answers; I give you special problems that help you really get the ideas behind the topics. My goal is to make learning simple and fun. I can also help you with any homework or specific problems you are stuck on.
What makes me a great tutor is my ability to explain tricky subjects so that a little kid could understand them. I'm a PhD Candidate in Physics, so I've spent a lot of time learning very complicated things. This has taught me how to break down tough subjects into simple pieces.
I teach in English and my native language, SiSwati.
What to Expect:
A typical lesson with me is all about doing, not just listening. We will:
* Work through problems that I have prepared to help you understand the main ideas.
* I'll give you a problem to try on your own to see how well you've learned.
* We'll go over your work together at the end of the lesson to make sure you're confident.
