I am a PhD candidate writing a thesis on trans-generational trauma in literature, which undertakes a close analysis of continental philosophy, African American history and literature as well as psychology and psychoanalysis. I also have an educational background in sociology, linguistics, and gender studies.

It is my personal imperative to adapt my teaching methods to the individual needs of the student. It is from this perspective that I aim to incorporate learning objectives and outcomes that suit the student's strengths as well as help to improve and overcome their inhibitions or weaknesses in a safe and comfortable environment. It is my belief that anyone can learn anything they choose, they just need to have a teacher who is willing to be patient, motivated, and creative in their approach.
