About Rashmi

Rashmi Rambiritch-Gagiano is a PhD Candidate at the Albert Luthuli Leadership Institute (under the University of Pretoria), where she completed her Master’s in Business Management (Responsible Leadership) with distinction. Prior to her studies at UP, she completed a Bachelor of Science and Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics at the University of Kwazulu Natal, and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and Musicology at the University of South Africa. Her research interests lie in the fields of leadership, business management, gender equality and healthcare.

Rashmi is a recipient of a full scholarship to the Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress 2022, where she is a speaker on two panels discussing the Sustainable Development Goals. She is also the recipient of the Economic and Management Sciences Doctoral Scholarship (in full) from the University of Pretoria. In 2021, Rashmi was selected, together with five of her teammates from the University of Pretoria’s Strategic Management cohort, as a world finalist in the Mike’s Bikes Corporate Strategy Simulation. Currently, she has three master’s students under her supervision and is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and Mensa.

Rashmi resides in Pretoria with her husband, Marc, and four (very naughty) cats, and in her spare time, is a violinist for several orchestras around the province. She remains under the violin tutelage of Irene Tsoniff, who was the former concertmaster of the National Symphony Orchestra and also a former student of Oistrakh.

About the lesson

I have a passion for teaching students of all ages. I believe in patience and humour as cornerstones to understanding concepts and the philosophy that all people are unique and deserve a unique approach. Helping students achieve their learning objectives in a psychologically safe and sustainable way really matters to me.
