About Gaia
Ciao a tutti! My name is Gaia and I have the following qualifications: - Master's degree in Interpreting, University of Bologna (2023) - Bachelor's degree in Linguistic and Intercultural Mediation (cum Laude), University of Bologna (2020) - Linguistic high school diploma, with CertiLingua Label of Excellence for Plurilingual, European and International competences in English, French and Spanish (2017) In addition, as a lifelong learner and language enthusiast, I am now doing a PhD in Interpreting and Translation Studies at DCU, Ireland. Due to my studies in Translation and Interpreting, besides English, I have achieved a high proficiency in French (C1-2 level) and Spanish (B2-C1), which has helped me better communicate with non-English students. As I have always loved to be helpful, teaching has inevitably become one of my greatest passions, and I have now accumulated more than 5 years of experience in teaching Italian and other foreign languages and literatures.

Do you want to learn or improve your level of Italian through online classes? Do you wish to get an Italian certification? You can count on me! I have +5 years of experience in teaching Italian to foreigners, with more than 100 students that have studied with me. I have held lessons at university, in private schools and as a private teacher, among others. Coming into contact with the language is fundamental from the very beginning, this is why I speak in Italian with my students from day one, using other languages only to clarify doubts (in this regard, besides English, I am also fluent in French and Spanish, in case of non-English speakers who would feel more at ease using other languages). My students are very satisfied with this approach as they can listen to a native speaker and do an hour of full immersion in Italian. Classes are for all levels (A1-C2) and tailored to suit any purposes, whether you want to learn Italian for business, to travel or just for fun! Indeed, all materials are always personalized to allow you to better hit your target. I also prepare students to obtain official linguistic certificates (CELI, PLIDA, CILS).
