About Huw
To teach and learn is natural to people. You can always learn, whatever the circumstances may be. I have learnt much; having spent years in medical research, I was led into education, and there I have stayed for the great majority of my long career.
I am conscientious in my work, as is necessary for professionalism, but a fascination for Biology and Chemistry underlies my rigorous approach to enabling exam success. I also very much enjoy helping students to improve their Maths grades. And my personable and engaging approach to tutoring can make lessons enjoyable and challenging. Ultimately the measure of success is the grade achieved, and this is the centre of the work.

Every student is different, and so requires a different approach to unlock more and more of their potential. For those that can excel academically, I can assist in maximising exam mark point accumulation. For students who may be struggling for various reasons, I can form a connection, which will build confidence and good feelings through progressive learning.
Typical lessons are an hour long, but can be extended with a break as necessary.
