About Sasha

I was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, where I also attended Pharmacy school. I completed my Hospital Pharmacy residency with the Island Health Authority and began working as an inpatient hospital pharmacist thereafter. I wanted a new challenge in my life, so I decided to pursue a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

Before medical school, I was an avid lifeguard, swim instructor, lifeguarding and first aid instructor. This is where I developed and embraced my love of teaching and supporting learners throughout their journeys.

In my spare time, you can find me working on DIY projects, woodworking, and practicing my newest love of Photography. The Canadian in me still ice skates and loves to ski when the climate allows.

About the lesson

At the center of any learning is you, the learner! Whether you're an undergrad Sciences, Pharmacology, Pharmacy or Medical Student, I will work with you to better understand what your strengths and opportunities for growth are. Together, we will tailor my teaching to your needs. I thrive on feedback and encourage my students to tell what works and doesn't work for them.

My 10+ years of teaching experience in various areas has taught me how to work with many kinds of learners. I've worked as a clinical/bedside Pharmacy instructor, Medical school peer tutor, health care school interview preparations tutor and even as a first aid instructor! Each of these experiences have given me valuable insight into the multitude of ways that learners absorb, retain and apply information.

I look forward to creating a learning plan that will support your learning in ways that will help you achieve your goals.
