About Charlotte

I am a PGCE-qualified Further Education teacher with a genuine passion for helping students develop their English skills and confidence. I understand that every learner is different, so I take the time to understand your goals and tailor my teaching to your individual needs.

I support adults and sixth form students with Functional Skills English, ESOL and English Literature. Whether you are preparing for an exam, working towards a qualification, improving your English for everyday life or simply looking to become more confident, I provide patient, structured and encouraging support.

I aim to create a welcoming learning environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes without judgement and build your skills at your own pace. My lessons are carefully planned, purposeful and focused on helping you make genuine progress.

I take pride in being approachable, professional and reliable, and I want every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived.

About the lesson

Learning English should feel encouraging, practical and achievable. As a PGCE-qualified Further Education teacher, I take a friendly, patient and student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to your individual goals, ability and confidence level.

My lessons are designed to be engaging and supportive, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practise skills and receive constructive feedback. I use a mixture of discussion, reading, writing, guided activities and exam-style questions, adapting my teaching to suit the way each student learns best.

Whether you are preparing for Functional Skills English, improving your English through ESOL, studying English Literature, or simply looking to become more confident with your English, I will work with you to identify areas for improvement and help you make steady progress.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are suitable for adults and sixth form students of different abilities. I believe that everyone can make progress with the right support, and I aim to make each lesson a positive experience where you can build both your skills and your confidence.

My goal is not simply to help you get through an exam or qualification, but to help you become a more confident and independent communicator. I will support you at your own pace, celebrate your progress and make sure each lesson has a clear purpose.
