About Alia

I am a professional and reliable tutor with a strong background in education and child development. Currently completing my PGCE in Primary Education (ages 5–11) and holding a degree in Psychology, I combine academic expertise with practical teaching experience to support children effectively in Maths. Since 2021, I have been tutoring children in primary-level Maths, helping learners of different abilities—including those who find the subject challenging—gain confidence and make steady progress. My lessons are adaptive, structured, and engaging, designed to build strong foundations while keeping learning enjoyable. Parents and students can feel assured that I am dedicated, patient, and committed to creating a positive learning environment. I work with children aged 4 to 11, offering lessons of 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, tailored to suit individual needs. About the lesson

I take an adaptive and student-centred approach to teaching Maths, tailoring each lesson to the child’s ability, confidence level, and learning style. My goal is to make Maths clear, engaging, and less intimidating by breaking down concepts into manageable steps and using real-life examples that children can relate to. Lessons typically last between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s age, focus, and individual needs. I believe in balancing structure with flexibility—ensuring children are challenged while also feeling supported and encouraged. I am currently completing my PGCE in Primary Education (ages 5–11) and hold a degree in Psychology, which gives me a strong understanding of child development and learning strategies. Since 2021, I have worked as a private tutor, supporting children in Maths from early years up to the end of primary school, including learners who require additional support or confidence-building. My lessons are designed to help children develop not just subject knowledge but also problem-solving skills, resilience, and a positive mindset towards Maths.
