About Alia

I am a dedicated and professional tutor with a strong background in education and child development. Currently completing my PGCE in Primary Education (ages 5–11) and holding a degree in Psychology, I bring both academic expertise and practical experience to my Science teaching. Since 2021, I have been working as a private tutor, supporting children across core subjects, including Science. I specialise in helping primary-aged learners (ages 4–11) build curiosity, understanding, and confidence in Science through clear explanations, engaging activities, and adaptive teaching methods. Lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the child’s age and needs. Parents and students can feel assured that I am reliable, patient, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make Science enjoyable and accessible for all learners—encouraging them to ask questions, think critically, and develop a lasting enthusiasm for the subject.

About the lesson

I take an adaptive and student-focused approach to Science, tailoring lessons to each child’s ability, interests, and learning style. I aim to make Science exciting and accessible by encouraging curiosity, using real-world examples, and breaking down complex ideas into simple, engaging activities. Lessons typically last between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s age, focus, and needs. I balance structure with flexibility—ensuring children feel supported while also being challenged to think critically and independently. I am currently completing my PGCE in Primary Education (ages 5–11) and hold a degree in Psychology, which gives me valuable insight into how children learn best. Since 2021, I have been working as a private tutor, supporting children in core subjects including Science, both online and in person. My lessons are designed for primary-aged learners (ages 4–11) and are especially suitable for children who need extra support, confidence-building, or enrichment beyond the classroom. My goal is to spark curiosity, nurture problem-solving skills, and help children develop a genuine enjoyment of Science.
