About Paula

I'm a highly qualified Spanish teacher, with many years' experience teaching students with different backgrounds and profiles.

I'm also graduated in Psychology and have a master's degree in Education, and I'm currently studying a master's degree in Contemporary Culture.

I enjoy the one-to-one connection with the students, making them able to communicate what they really want with confidence. l like them to chose their favorite subjects, as l believe the best way to learn is talking about what you're really interested in.

I can provide references.

When I first arrived in Barcelona I began Spanish classes at one of the city’s best language schools. After a few months of this, I began to feel frustrated as I wasn’t making the kind of progress I had hoped. That was before I found Paula! We've now been together for more than five years and my listening, spoken and written Spanish has significantly improved and I am able to communicate confidently about a variety of subjects ranging from clogged toilets and favourite tv shows to politics and philosophy. I think what worked best for me was that Paula tailor-made each class to meet my needs. That, and her personality and relaxed style immediately put me at ease. She has a gentle way of correcting errors while encouraging me to speak and take risks with the language. And she's fun. This is just what I needed in my language teacher!
Paula and I meet weekly sometimes online and sometimes in person. We continue classes online when I am on holiday. She's very flexible which I appreciate.
As you can see, I think very highly of Paula and would recommend her without hesitation.
