  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I developed an interest in the piano when I was just 8 years old, although I began learning much later at the age of 12 or 13. I still vividly remember a moment from my school days when I first saw a girl playing the piano. I was so mesmerized by her performance that I immediately wanted to learn the instrument. A few years later, I finally had the opportunity to start learning piano at my own school as a hobby, and that hobby eventually grew into a deep passion.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach, and why?

The motivation behind my decision to teach stems from two individuals: my teacher and one of my seniors. My teacher inspired me by demonstrating not only how beautiful the piano is but also how enjoyable the process of learning and teaching can be. My senior, on the other hand, always encouraged me to explore new techniques and pieces. Both of them helped me see how rewarding it is to share this wonderful subject with others and nurture a love for music in students.
  • How does your work help society?

Music has the unique ability to bring peace, joy, and emotional balance to people's lives. As a piano teacher, my work helps society by nurturing creativity, discipline, and confidence in my students. Learning piano develops focus, patience, and critical thinking-skills that are invaluable in all aspects of life. It also gives students an emotional outlet, helping them express themselves in a healthy and constructive way. Furthermore, music brings people together, fostering a sense of community and cultural appreciation.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of and why?

If I had to name a role model, it would be Ludwig van Beethoven. Growing up, I was fascinated by his timeless compositions, and I aspired to learn and play his works. Beethoven's journey, which began at a very young age, serves as an incredible source of inspiration for me. Despite the challenges he faced, including his hearing loss, his passion for music remained unwavering. I aim to follow in his footsteps by inspiring others with music and hopefully composing works that leave a lasting impact.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside of teaching

Teaching and playing the piano are my primary passions, but outside of those, I enjoy acting and working as a part-time model. Acting allows me to express myself creatively, while modeling gives me an opportunity to showcase confidence and grace on the runway. Both activities complement my personality and help me maintain a balance between professional and personal growth.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

Yes, I do. When I started teaching, I had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds, each with unique needs and aspirations. One student who stands out is a 6-year-old girl from the Netherlands. She began learning piano with me two years ago, and it has been a joy to watch her grow. Her positivity and maturity, even at such a young age, are truly inspiring. Whenever I have a class with her, it feels so refreshing and fulfilling. Her parents have always been incredibly supportive, and their trust in me keeps me motivated to give my best.

Another student I cherish is an 8-year-old boy from Dubai. He is exceptionally talented and passionate about learning the piano. His parents treat me with immense respect and appreciation, which makes the teaching experience even more meaningful. Students like these, and the trust their families place in me, are the reason I continue to teach with so much dedication and love.
