About Caitlin
Hi, I’m Caitlin! I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a PGCE in Primary Education (5–11) and a passion for helping children feel confident and successful in their learning. I have experience teaching across different primary year groups and supporting children with a wide range of abilities and learning needs. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed, and I aim to create a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.
I’m a patient, approachable and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys making learning engaging and enjoyable (because that's the most important thing!). I take the time to understand each child as an individual and adapt my teaching to suit their needs, whether they need support with a particular area, want to catch up, or are looking for an extra challenge. My goal is not only to help children make academic progress, but also to help them develop a positive attitude towards learning and feel proud of what they can achieve.

My tutoring sessions are fully tailored to each individual child, taking into account their strengths, areas for development, learning style and specific needs. I use an inclusive, interactive and child-centred approach, incorporating questioning, practical activities, games, discussion and guided practice to keep sessions engaging and purposeful. Each programme is progressive, with sessions building on previous learning and adapted according to the child’s ongoing progress. I can also support children with SEN and additional learning needs by adapting the pace, resources and teaching methods to suit them.
I am a qualified primary school teacher with a PGCE in Primary Education (5–11) and experience teaching across primary year groups. My sessions are aimed at primary-aged children, including those preparing to transition into secondary school. Lesson length can vary depending on the child’s age, concentration, needs and learning goals, ensuring that sessions are manageable and effective for each individual. My aim is to create a positive and supportive environment where children can build confidence, develop their skills and see clear progress.
