About Karen
First sessions involve finding where your voice sits most comfortably in its natural register. We build a personalized song list based strictly around your vocal range. You will learn microphone technique and how to handle sight singing without the usual stress.
I bring my Diploma of Music to the table to ensure our approach to exam preparation remains professional yet accessible. It is important that we balance the hard work of diction with the sheer joy of performing. I love seeing the moment a student realizes they have total control over their sound. Music should always be a rewarding and expressive outlet for you.

Singers often arrive feeling stuck in their own habits. I once watched a student move from complete stage fear to owning a room during a live set. My 13 years of experience as a Latin-Australian session musician help me identify exactly where your voice needs more support. I have coached 465 students through the nuances of belting technique, harmony singing, and stage fear management.
We focus on rhythm, phrasing, and articulation to clean up your delivery. I also incorporate warm up exercises that actually make sense for your specific needs. Sometimes simple tweaks change everything. It is a pleasure to watch your artistic voice emerge.
