About Ivy
I am an enthusiastic Guitar tutor with 7 years of teaching and professional experience, committed to helping school and college students develop technical skills and confidence. I guide learners from basic chords and rhythm exercises to performing complete songs independently. Watching students grow, overcome challenges, and perform confidently in front of audiences has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career.
I emphasise strong fundamentals, including chord transitions, finger exercises, scale mastery, strumming techniques, and musical expression. My teaching style is patient, structured, and motivating, encouraging students to explore creativity and develop their own unique style.
I also provide guidance on effective practice, goal setting, and stage preparation. My mission is to nurture disciplined, confident, and passionate guitarists who enjoy music for life.

In my Guitar classes, I combine structured learning and creative exploration using Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I motivate students by helping them understand that consistency and patience lead to mastery. I celebrate every improvement to build their confidence and enthusiasm. Communication plays a key role in my approach, as I break down lessons into manageable parts and demonstrate each technique carefully.
I teach chord clarity, rhythm control, scale development, and coordination exercises step by step for better understanding. Integrity ensures that students build strong fundamentals with proper posture, clean tone production, and disciplined practice routines. I provide constructive and honest feedback for continuous improvement.
Creativity is developed through improvisation sessions, songwriting activities, and exploring different musical genres. In addition to Guitar, I also teach harmony fundamentals and rhythm training skills.
