About Ejumevwo Kelvin
Hi, and welcome! I'm Kelvin — a professional Mathematics tutor with over 14 years of teaching experience, an MSc in Applied Mathematics, and a BSc in Physics. I have taught math at the elementary, middle, high school, and college levels. I currently teach mathematics at an international school. I am a patient, friendly, adaptable, and goal-focused teacher. Outside the classroom, I also love swimming, volleyball, and playing chess.
I provide affordable, personalized online academic support to students looking to improve their grades, master math concepts, and build their confidence. Every child can succeed academically with the right resources and support. Sometimes, that extra help is best found outside the classroom, and I am committed to fulfilling that role.
What I love most about teaching math is witnessing that moment when a concept finally clicks, and the student's face lights up with understanding. That "aha" moment is truly special. I have taught students from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, the UAE, and other regions, covering a wide range of curricula and educational systems.
Whether you or your child is preparing for the SAT, GCSE, IGCSE, IB, AP, A-Level, or university mathematics; catching up on missed concepts; or aiming for higher grades, I can help you achieve your goals. Likewise, I offer homework assistance. I also have plenty of experience working with Adult Education students who need math support.
I have worked extensively with homeschool students at different grade levels and understand the unique challenges and flexibility of home-based learning. I can adapt lessons and resources to fit your curriculum and learning pace, whether you're following a set program or a customized approach.

My Teaching Approach
Lessons will be centered on you, as I believe in individualized, personalized learning. I will primarily teach you to understand concepts and methods by building on your existing knowledge and skills.
Everyone learns differently, and in mathematics, there are many ways to solve problems. I will work with you to find the approach that suits you best. Additionally, during our lessons, we will identify any gaps in your understanding and address them, as filling these gaps is essential to your progress and confidence.
Lesson Customization:
1. Visual & Interactive Tools: I use interactive digital whiteboards, Desmos graphing tools, and GeoGebra visualizations to help visual learners grasp abstract geometric and algebraic concepts.
2. Pace & Curricula Alignment: Whether following a strict school syllabus (IB, GCSE, AP, A-Level) or a customized homeschool pace, lessons adapt dynamically to the student's strengths and areas needing improvement.
3. Goal-Driven Plans: After assessing a student's baseline, I build a custom roadmap targeting their specific exam board, grade goals, or confidence gaps.
️ Scheduling: I offer flexible scheduling during weekday evenings and across weekends to fit around your school or work commitments. Lessons are scheduled via Google Calendar to automatically align with your local time zone, wherever you are around the world.
What happens during the trial lesson?
• We discuss your goals, target grades, upcoming exams, and specific topics causing friction.
• We jump right into a topic of your choice using my digital whiteboard and interactive tools, so you experience my step-by-step teaching method firsthand.
• I outline a structured strategy for future sessions based on what we observed.
Book a trial lesson today to receive your personalized learning roadmap—I look forward to helping you achieve your goals!

I have really struggled with basic mathematics over the last few years. Kelvin has helped me build my confidence in the basics and provided me with examples applicable to real-life situations. He has taken me through problems step-by-step and helped me gain a good understanding of the methods needed to solve them. He is very patient and understanding of what I would like to achieve from my sessions with him. I would highly recommend him as a tutor!
Kelvin is a great Algebra tutor! My son started out not understanding anything he was learning in class and after working with him for 5 lessons, he is now caught up with his class and understands it perfectly. He feels much more confident and doesn't dread Algebra now. He will continue to work with Kelvin as his teaching style mixed with the one-on-one really helps him.
We couldn't be happier with Kelvin. If I could I would give him 6 stars! He has great knowledge of a wide range of math topics. Most importantly he makes math fun. Our son says his positive energy is infectious; he now looks forward to his classes… even during the summer holidays. He's done a fantastic job getting our son ready for the 9th grade. We will definitely use him during the school year to continue to give him a boost.
