About Imani
My lessons focus on building strong reading foundations while helping students grow in confidence and self-belief. As a certified online reading tutor, I support K–8 learners using structured, Science of Reading–aligned instruction tailored to each child’s pace and needs. I create calm, encouraging sessions that strengthen decoding, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary while reducing anxiety around reading. I believe learning works best when students feel safe, capable, and supported, so I incorporate positive reinforcement, clear routines, and engaging activities that make reading feel achievable and empowering.

My reading lessons are designed to help students build confidence, comprehension, and a genuine love for reading. I create a calm, encouraging space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Lessons are personalized to each learner’s needs and focus on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension using engaging, structured, and supportive strategies. I believe strong literacy skills start with feeling capable and supported, and I work to help every student see themselves as a successful reader.
