About Quinn
I have 6 years of experience teaching piano and hold a BA in Musicology with a specialization in Piano History. My lessons focus on jazz improvisation, comping techniques, and sophisticated harmonic development. I emphasize holistic growth through jazz theory, transcription, ear training, and rhythmic precision. I have taught Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students and professional jazz musicians. Students learn to craft improvisational solos and chordal accompaniment with confidence. Lessons explore chord voicings, harmonic substitutions, and phrasing techniques. I encourage musical intuition and expressive creativity. Each session is tailored to the student’s individual goals and style. We study jazz standards and spontaneous improvisation. Lessons balance technical mastery with artistic expression. I provide guidance for performance and compositional creativity. Students leave each session more confident and expressive. Embark on your journey to mastering jazz piano and spontaneous musical expression today.

I focus on piano composition and songwriting, guiding students to create original works. Lessons include melody and harmony writing, intros, outros, and musical themes. My approach balances structured techniques with creative exploration. I work with The Therapy Seeker and The Jazz Pianist to nurture expressive and personal music. Students practice motifs, chord progressions, rhythmic ideas, and improvisation. Each session encourages experimentation and originality. I provide detailed feedback on phrasing, harmony, and structure. Lessons help students transform musical ideas into complete compositions. We study examples across genres for inspiration and growth. I emphasize emotional expression, clarity, and coherence. Each session strengthens musical intuition and confidence. Students learn to develop their own voice and style. Together, we compose pieces that leave a lasting impact.
