About Sullivan

I am a passionate and experienced Piano tutor with 6 years of teaching and professional music work. I teach piano to school and college students and believe that music education helps students grow with confidence and discipline.

During my teaching journey, I reached several meaningful milestones. One of the most rewarding was guiding beginners from their first notes to confident and smooth playing. These moments strengthened my belief in patient and consistent teaching.

My piano lessons focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, finger strength, hand coordination, rhythm accuracy, and reading music. I also introduce basic music theory so students clearly understand what they play.

I believe piano learning improves focus, creativity, emotional expression, and self-confidence. Music education also helps students develop positive habits and discipline.

My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and student-focused. I adjust lessons based on each student’s pace and learning goals. My aim is to inspire students to enjoy piano learning and continue growing with confidence.

About the lesson

I believe piano lessons should be engaging, practical, and creatively enriching. I focus on communication, ensuring that students understand techniques, rhythm, music theory, and performance principles clearly. Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on—allowing them to progress confidently and enjoyably.

I make lessons meaningful with real-life examples and case studies, such as analysing favourite songs, exploring classical works, or demonstrating music’s role in movies, media, and daily life. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, and beginner composition, helping students build a solid technical foundation and creative skills. My teaching encourages discipline, technical mastery, creativity, performance confidence, and a lifelong love for music, allowing students to express themselves fully through piano.
