About Erin
Guitar has been my lifelong companion, and teaching it for over 5 years has been incredibly fulfilling. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering with a focus on Guitar, and my specialty is improvisation across jazz and blues styles. I guide students through modal scales, arpeggios, dominant seventh harmony, and bebop phrasing while nurturing their personal voice.
Lessons with me are supportive, engaging, and tailored to your goals. I work with everyone—from school students to professionals—helping them grow at their own pace. Over time, I’ve helped intermediate and advanced players gain confidence for live gigs and creative exploration.
I believe improvisation should feel spontaneous and natural, a way to express yourself fully on the instrument. My goal is to combine theory, technique, and creativity into lessons that excite and challenge you. Let’s embark on a journey where your guitar becomes a true extension of your musical personality.

I teach guitar with a focus on reading music confidently and systematically. Lessons include tablature, standard notation, rhythm exercises, and sight-reading routines. Students progress step by step, developing strong reading skills for any style.
I work with “The Classical Purist” and “The Jazz Explorer,” supporting them to read fluently and expressively. We begin with simple rhythms and familiar melodies, then move to complex passages. Each lesson reinforces note recognition, timing, and musical understanding.
Students gain fluency in chords, scales, and melodies from written music. Rhythm notation and sight-reading are practiced regularly to build accuracy. I also teach connecting written patterns to improvisation and performance.
My approach ensures students feel confident approaching any written music. Together, we unlock the richness of reading and performing music on guitar.
