About the lesson

My name is Zuhal, and I specialize in tutoring mathematics with a focus on arithmetic and algebra for middle school and high school students. My goal is to help students move from memorizing formulas to actually understanding how and why math works, so they feel more confident when solving problems on their own.

My teaching approach is based on step-by-step learning and clarity first. I break down each concept into small, manageable parts and explain them using simple language and real examples. I also use guided practice, where I solve a problem with the student first, then slowly shift responsibility to them until they can do it independently. If a student is struggling, I don’t just give the answer—I go back and identify the exact step where confusion started, then rebuild from there.

Then I introduce the new topic, such as fractions, linear equations, or factoring, with clear explanations and worked examples. After that, we do practice questions together, gradually increasing difficulty.
