About Thea
Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in World Music with a focus on Guitar Traditions. My training combines academic study with practical performance in metal, shred, and progressive rock. These genres challenge both speed and creativity. I love helping students reach those levels.
Lessons are designed to build technical ability. Precision comes first. Students work on alternate picking, sweep picking, tapping, and legato playing. Skills develop step by step.
I enjoy teaching both young learners and adult musicians. Lessons are tailored to individual goals. Everyone learns at a different pace.

I teach guitar focusing on creative lead playing and technical precision. Students learn phrasing, articulation, and melodic development to craft expressive solos. Lessons show how to play with intention rather than at random.
Improvisation is developed step by step using scales, chord tones, and licks. Techniques like bends, vibrato, slides, and hammer-ons are practiced carefully to enhance emotion. I also teach how to connect phrases so solos feel musical and natural.
Some students enjoy jazz-inspired improvisation and melodic exploration. Others focus on energetic rock and blues soloing. I support both directions, helping each student refine their unique voice. Technique, creativity, and listening skills grow together through structured exercises and real examples. The goal is confident, expressive soloing. Soon, you'll be shredding with confidence.
