Hello! My name is Anna, and I’m a native English speaker from Canada with four years of honors-level experience in AP English. I graduated with distinction and a deep passion for language, reading, and writing. I specialize in tutoring elementary school students, helping them build strong foundational English skills in a patient, engaging, and encouraging environment. Whether your child needs support with reading comprehension, grammar, writing, or speaking confidently, I’m here to guide them every step of the way. As a recent high school graduate and an elementary school volunteer I connect easily with younger students and offer lessons that are both fun and effective. As a native English speaker born and raised in Canada and an AP English honors graduate for four consecutive years, I’m passionate about helping young learners build strong reading, writing, and speaking skills from the ground up.
My teaching style is patient and highly interactive. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and engaged, so I use positive reinforcement and tailor each session to the child’s pace and interests.
A typical lesson starts with a fun warm-up (like a short word game or vocabulary challenge), followed by a focused activity such as reading comprehension, creative writing, or grammar practice. I wrap up each session with a review and a short take-home task or recommendation to reinforce what we covered.
I’ve recently completed AP-level English with top grades, so I know what strong English skills look like and how to build them from an early age. I bring both academic expertise and a relatable, student-friendly perspective to every session.
My lessons are perfect for elementary school students (Grades 1–6) who want to:
- Improve reading fluency and comprehension
- Learn grammar and sentence structure in a fun way
- Practice spelling, writing, and speaking with a native speaker
- Build confidence in English at school and in everyday life
