About Jovy

Hi, I’m Jovy, a dedicated and patient tutor with 3.5 years of tutoring experience. I specialize in helping students build a strong foundation in English while making lessons engaging, clear and comfortable.

I achieved A in SPM English, A+ in my SPM Trials, and consistently achieved A+ in my school examinations**. I also have a CEFR C1 level of English, demonstrating a strong command of the language.

I enjoy working with primary school students and understand that every student learns differently. My teaching style is friendly, patient and encouraging, while still maintaining a structured approach to help students make steady progress.

I specialize in teaching Year 5 and Year 6 students, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and overall English proficiency.

My goal is to help students not only improve their school results, but also become more confident and comfortable when using English.

About the lesson

My English lessons are designed specifically for Year 5 and Year 6 students, with a focus on building strong foundations and improving confidence in using English.

Each lesson covers the key skills students need, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing and sentence construction. I explain concepts clearly and use examples and exercises to help students understand and apply what they have learned.

Students will also practise different types of questions and writing tasks so that they become more comfortable using English independently. I will identify areas where students are struggling and provide additional guidance and practice to help them improve.

My lessons are suitable for students of different ability levels, whether they need to strengthen their basic English, improve their school performance or become more confident in writing and answering questions.
